I have hear some good and bad about it. I prefer android based phones. Is your friend having issues with the reception, or the yellow dot on his screen?
Davidlanceres - July 1, 2010 06:30 AM (GMT)
Nope no issues yet. The reception issue is due to the besel being the antennae for the phone. However you literally have to go out of your way and wrap your hands all the way around the whole besel just to make it lose one bar of service. Apple came out with "Bumpers" For this. They are a silicone case that goes around the besel only that supposedly "fixes" the problem. As far as the screen goes. The first batch of iPhone 4's were rushed through manufacturing to make pre order deadlines. These were supposed to have one more day for the adhesive around the screen to cure, this of course didn't happen unfortunately. So the newer ones should not have this issue.

I don't even have a phone, so sorry man I don't have one and I don't know anyone either...

You don't even have a phone? How do you live? Lol jp bit seriously that sucks.
NastyN8 - July 2, 2010 02:42 AM (GMT)
Yeah, but the only bad thing about the bumpers is that they cost like $30.00. Overall I hear there a good phone tho. I mean what phone releases perfect.

do want. If I can get the $ i'll definitely be getting one of these.
NastyN8 - July 2, 2010 11:46 PM (GMT)
I kinda wish they were on Verizon, then I would probably get one.

I agree with nasty n8 I prefer the android based phones

Supposidly verizon is getting the iPhone 4 in January. But who knows...this has been rumored for years. The only android based phone I have used was a motorola droid and I simply was not a fan. The iPhone OS 4.0 is so simple and convenient to use. My white 16g 3GS is for sale for $225. I will be doing a non qualified upgrade to a white 16g iPhone 4.
Jimmer307 - July 3, 2010 03:18 PM (GMT)
My iphone home button selectively works on me, so I think I will be getting a Iphone 4 soon. My upgrade is due in 2 months, so I can wait till then.
NastyN8 - July 4, 2010 06:40 AM (GMT)
The android os has gotten much better since the droid has originally came out. My issue with apple is that I have to buy this phone, then because they messed up and put the antenna on the outside, I then have to buy an bumper that cost an extra $30.00 on what I already paid for the phone. Then at&t sucks.

+1
If I ever feel like I can afford a plan for a smart phone, I think I'll stick to the Android phones
Currently, my enV Touch doesn't require a smart phone plan so even though I have unlimited internet access and texting, I save $30 bucks a month compared to a similar plan for an android or iphone

It is so tough! I'm gonna try and get one soon, well see if I can get the money rounded up.
Davidlanceres - July 6, 2010 05:58 AM (GMT)
Yea I pay $30 for the unlimited internet and our family plan has unlimited texting already so I just pay $10 for that. But it's worth it, I love my iPhone and I use it sooo much. I honestly don't think I could go back to a regular phone.
NastyN8 - July 6, 2010 11:58 PM (GMT)
I feel the same way about my droid. I can do so much on it, that life will never be the same if I go back to a regular phone.
