"Mitsubishi has just released sketches of the concept coupe they will be showing at the January's Detroit Auto Show that looks set to take the best of the original Eclipse, the Audi R10 and the latest Evo X. Like so many other cars, the Eclipse has grown progressively larger and heavier with each generation. The Concept-RA looks set to return to its more sprightly roots with a lightweight aluminum space frame and plastic resin body panels."

"Under the hood, the Concept-RA will feature a new 2.2L turbodiesel four cylinder that meets Tier2 Bin5 standards while generating 204 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. Transmitting all that force to ground will be a torque vectoring all-wheel-drive system sourced from the latest Evo X that debuted at the Tokyo Motor Show including the dual clutch transmission. i really like the front end of the car not the mid sections though. i would like to know how the performance of the engine turns out. and the hood is not my cup of tea too.

I would of liked to see them put out a turboed all wheel drive 4g. Like the ralli art prototype they had made. That would of been sick since it featured the 4g63t and had looks and some cool carbon fibre. I want those doors on my 2g. If the do put the diesel in it that will be interesting. it seems to work for VW and other car makes.

I like the idea of this car but I hope they simplify the body style a little more. It looks a little far out. I actually like the idea of the turbo diesel 4banger, something different.

The car is perfect with the exception of the 2.2L Turbodiesel... I like the bigger displacement giving it alot better torque than the 4G63, but I think turbodiesel's sound stupid. They sound like a golf cart.

BTW: It sure would be nice if they add a 6th gear or fix the gearing ratio so you don't cruise down the highway at 3k RPM's only going 60 MPH.

I think people will want it cause it's AWD then will swap a 4g63 in it..... lol then it will be wanted. But still I like it and am really wanting doors like that on my 2g.......

I get what your saying nothing against your coment but I see that too. Someone buying a brand new 5G and putting an unreliable 20 year old 4G in it. Thats silly, but probably better than whats in it stock. :lol:

You people that want goofy looking doors need to drive an old Galant VR4 for about a week. Then you will realize that if you have a mitsu you must go faster, not add bodykits and weird doors. No disrespect.

4g63's are in no way unreliable, the problem with these motors is the owner of the cars not knowing their knee from their elbow and installing a manual boost controler on a stock fuel system and running 25 psi. The engines them selves if maintained properly are just as reliable as anything else.

I would much rather have an older dsm that is fast then to have a car with those doors, but I also care about looks to. It cost so much money to make the newer eclipses fast that more people car about looks now a days. The 3rd and 4th gen eclipses weren't really made to go fast, they were made to look nice.

I have been going faster. Is it a crime to add a bit of style and uniqueness to MY OWN ride? Not trying to be an ass. Did I say I was going to do it. No I just thought it would be cool to have. Did I say I wanted to do looks over speed? No not at all so fuck off!!!

Dude all of you need to chill, the 4G63 is a great motor! It's like Byran said it'd the owners. We all have different taste that's what makes the motoring world so great! Can you imagine all of us driving the exact car without any mods available? Damn if that was a fact I would rather walk. I don't hate those who have different taste or style that is different from mine. I tell them koool dude!
