Not exactly sure, but if I were you, I would try and change out the battery terminals. Close to the same thing happened to me, and that was the problem.

Get your battery checked, when the battery went bad in my eclipse everytime I turned my blinker on, hit my brakes, or turned my lights on my stereo would shut off.

Werd. Batteries can cause all kinds of pro lens when they are going and it'll take your alternator with it.

Sounds like another alt...but the warranty that for 60 days or the cheap rebuild or a new one for one year. Also check the ground strap. And your car should die when you remove the + cable.

If the person that is testing it knows what they are doing, than you will know 100 percent if the alternator is good or not. This almost sounds more of a connection issue than alternator or battery. It was running bad enough to notice it, yet you were able to restart it without jump starting it. If the alternator weren't charging and the battery were low enough to make it sputter, and notice the lights dimming and having power issues, than it DEFINITELY wouldn't restart the car. Taking the batter cable off it a good test, and that would demonstrate that the alternator isn't charging also. This could be a problem with the alternator fuse in the under hood fues box, It will be a 100 amp on the lower corner of the fuse box. Or very possibly a bad connection from the alternator to the fuse box area.
