Title: So who has tranny issues?

Davidlanceres - May 29, 2009 04:44 AM (GMT)
Im assuming most of us because we drive Mitsubishis lol...

I have a 2003 Lancer ES Automatic...

-It jolts really hard when it is shifting in low gears. I guess you call that hard shifting?

Hope it doesnt take a crap on me cause it only has 97,000 miles.

i do but that'll be fixed soon. 2nd gear hates me

Yea, minor tranny issue here, PITA if i get on it. 2nd Gear Scratches when I take it into high rpms in 1st Gear or when I slam it into 2nd.

My Talon tranny (some automatic Chrysler junk) has been wanting to take a shit on me for a LONG time, but it still hasn't. It's quite incredible, really.

My Stealth tranny (an awesome Getrag unit) has never given me any problems.

I think this classifies as a tranny issue, lol. The differential came apart and started coming through the case. Car still drove fine but was starting to get a little noise coming from the transmission on take offs. I have the new tranny in now though and she's ready for the 14th.

I've never changed fluid, ran the holy living shit out of it for the past 25k and it's an auto that is known for it's problems, so I'm not surprised at all

I think automatic transmissions are just crap in general. My moms Hyundai Elantra Auto does the same thing my car does. My next car must be manual!

I had one issue with mine! I had some dumbass work on it. There was a bracket and mount that wasn't connected right. After a week and a half of working on it at school its all good now. David try changing the transmission fluid, for us its actually gear oil (at least the manual). I have BG GL-5 full synthetic in it now, but I paid for it ($15/qt.). If you need any help doing it I should be able to do it at the meet.

Davidlanceres - June 1, 2009 07:17 PM (GMT)
I did change the tranny fluid about 3 months ago, It helped a little bit but it is still acting up.

Go manual! I'm nearing 100k and have had no issues so far

SpyderBite - June 3, 2009 04:06 AM (GMT)
The 3S auto tranny slips sometimes when you floor it, and it hesitates.

and the evo tranny is an evo tranny nuff said.

dslimtuner913 - August 27, 2009 12:31 AM (GMT)
me..2nd gear would barely go in on high rpms till i got this new tranny..our second gear suck big time

spdtckts - September 10, 2009 06:22 AM (GMT)
